So this this recipe is great. I've seen on pinterest a few times and I decided that this was a great recipe to try, since me and hubby were looking for a protein filled snack.
I adapted the recipe according to what we had, and what I thought would be beneficial for us.You can find the original recipe Here.
I highly recommend it!

2/3 cup raw almonds
2/3 cup raw pecans
2/3 cup raw oat flakes
1/8 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon + a little more

(I like cinnamon)

1 Tbsp. coconut oil
3 Tbsp. raw honey
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 tbsp dark chocolate chips

Blend almonds, pecans, oat flakes, salt, and cinnamon in food processor.
Add coconut oil, honey and vanilla and blend.
To blend better I threw it all in a bowl, added the chocolate chips and mixed with my hands. Shape into small balls and freeze!

Rules for a good butter cream frosting:

First, make sure that you use butter. This may sound simple enough, but a little bit of butter won't cut it. You have got to have a stick or more.

Whip the butter like there is no tomorrow on high speed. This creates a very light and easy spreadable whipped frosting.

Try a new flavoring. I saw these great

flavorings from LorAnn Professional Kitchenonline awhile back, but never got myself to buy them. A week ago I ended up coming across them at Ross for a lot less. They have so many flavors such as red velvet, almond, coconut, butter vanilla, rum, lemon and a few others. I had to get coconut (because it's my favorite), and I also got the butter vanilla flavoring. These are flavor enhancers that you can put in cakes, frostings, sweet rolls, etc.  They are so good! Try them you will like them.
